Look who we ran into today...

Joey's going through a "scared of everything" stage so I wasn't sure how he'd react to Santa coming up to him but he handled it better than I expected. I think it helped that Santa was handing out candy.

Rockstar in the making...

I couldn't resist sharing some video from Joey's "Rockband" debut...

He loves singing and playing the drums (he even remembers the kick drum once in awhile).

While Josh was upstairs, Joey managed to figure out how to start the game... all of a sudden we hear Joey singing and banging on the drums. Then about 30 seconds into the song, he was booed off the stage (for those of you who are not familiar with the game, this is what happens when you don't hit the right notes). Poor Joey... he was really concentrating too!

Sleepy-time...

Our night started early with a costume party at daycare. Parents were invited too so it was a lot of fun seeing all the kids in their cute costumes. After the party, we took Joey and Bruizer trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. We were able to introduce ourselves to some of the neighbors we hadn't met yet and Joey got (and ate) way too much candy.

The photos were taken at an art museum downtown. They had a room upstairs with beautiful hardwood floors and lots of room to run around. The photographer did an awesome job... she just let Joey run and play while she chased him around with her camera. We also got a few outdoor shots. It had been raining that morning so it was pretty wet (and cold) outside but Joey had a blast splashing in the puddles... needless to say, we were all soaked by the end of the photoshoot but it was a lot of fun.

I'm a big kid now!!!!

Joey is officially sleeping in a big boy bed now. We redecorated his room with the Disney Cars theme so he seems to think it's pretty cool. We've been nervous to make the transition because he has always slept really well in his crib and we weren't sure how he'd react to "the change" but we figured we'd give it a shot.

Now for the next item on our agenda... potty training! I have a feeling that one might not be as easy...

Happy Birthday Joey!!!!!

Can you believe our little guy is 2 already?? We celebrated with family in Minot last weekend at the Holiday Inn. Joey had a blast playing with his cousins, eating cupcakes and opening his presents (with the help of his buddy, Rylan).

On Friday, daycare had a little birthday party for him. The kids all made him a big birthday card with their hand prints on it and then had treats in the afternoon. That night, Jess, Terrance and Grace came over for pizza and cake. Grace is one of Joey's best buds so they had fun running around, playing together and watching the guys play Rock Band.

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we went to the Fall Festival at Rheault Farms with Jess, Terrance and Grace. They had inflatable games, train rides, a petting zoo, face painting and arts and crafts. Joey and Grace had a blast!

Our 1st family vacation...

I just uploaded some pictures from our trip to California to visit Craig, Kate and Jake. We had a great time! We checked out a few different neighborhood playgrounds the 1st day, a huge waterpark just down the street from Craig's house the 2nd day and Disneyland and California Adventure (all in 1 day) on the 3rd day. The rest of the time was spent hanging out, playing and napping. It took Joey a couple days to get used to the time change but I think he really had fun spending time with his little cousin, Jake.
